Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment to Accessibility
Troy Periodontics is committed to making troyperioimplant.com usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We believe everyone looking for periodontal care in the Capital Region should be able to find our information, understand it, and reach us without difficulty.
Accessibility is something we work on continuously rather than treat as finished. This statement describes where we stand today, what we are doing, and how to reach a person if something on this Website gets in your way.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for making web content more accessible to people with disabilities. WCAG has three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
This Website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the standard. We have not completed a formal third-party accessibility audit, and we would rather state that plainly than claim a level of compliance we have not verified.
Measures We Take
Steps we take to improve accessibility on this Website include:
- Using semantic HTML structure so screen readers can navigate headings, lists, and landmarks
- Providing descriptive alternative text for meaningful images
- Maintaining readable text sizes and color contrast against background colors
- Ensuring interactive elements can be reached and operated with a keyboard
- Labeling form fields clearly and describing errors in text rather than by color alone
- Designing pages to reflow on small screens and at increased zoom levels
- Giving links text that makes sense when read out of context
- Considering accessibility when we add new pages or features
Known Limitations
We want to be straightforward about where this Website currently falls short:
- Embedded maps. We embed Google Maps to help you find the office. That component is controlled by Google and may not be fully accessible. Our full address and phone number are always available in text nearby, and we are happy to give directions by phone.
- Third-party forms and call tracking. Some interactive elements are provided by outside services. We do not control their markup and cannot guarantee their accessibility.
- Older content and documents. Some material published earlier may not meet our current standards. We correct these as we find them.
- Decorative and icon elements. A small number of icons may not yet carry ideal text alternatives.
If You Need Help Reaching Us
If any part of this Website prevents you from getting the information you need or from requesting an appointment, please simply call the office. We will help you directly and complete anything you would have done online.
Call 518-274-5015 during office hours, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You will not be disadvantaged in any way by contacting us this way instead of using the Website.
Accessibility at Our Office
If you have questions about physical access to our office at 500 Federal St, Suite 300 in Troy, or if you need a specific accommodation for your visit, please call us ahead of your appointment. Telling us in advance lets us prepare properly so your visit goes smoothly.
Feedback
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of this Website. If you encounter a barrier, please tell us. Reports from real users are the most useful information we get, and they directly shape what we fix next.
When you contact us, it helps if you can include:
- The web address of the page where you ran into the problem
- A short description of what happened and what you were trying to do
- The browser, device, and any assistive technology you were using, if you know it
We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within five business days.
Ongoing Effort
We review accessibility when we publish new pages and when we make significant changes to existing ones. As we identify issues, whether through our own review or through feedback from visitors, we prioritize and correct them. This statement will be updated as that work progresses.
